welcome toScopetone - La Melina

La Melina takes its name from the apple trees that once grew on the estate where the vineyard is now.

The winery, founded in 2002 thanks to the passion of Loredana Tanganelli and Antonio Brandi, is located on the southwest side of the municipality of Montalcino at an altitude of 400 m.a.s.l. The Sangiovese vineyards extend over a surface area of five hectares.

In 2009, they took over the Scopetone estate keeping the brand name, and, thanks to the consultation of enologist Maurizio Castelli and Luca Felicioni, Scopetone wines are produced: Brunello di Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino, and Toscana IGT Rosso (100% Sangiovese).

There is also an olive grove with three hectares of Leccino, Moraiolo, and Frantoio olive trees from which an excellent extra-virgin olive oil is produced.
